Dr. Rakefet Orobona was born in California and grew up in both Israel and in Boulder, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a double major in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2009. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2013.
After graduation, Dr. Orobona worked at Belcaro Animal Hospital. She joined the Hampden Family Pet Hospital team in 2015. Her professional interests include internal medicine, preventative medicine, and wildlife and exotic animal medicine.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, biking, reading, and traveling the world with her husband. She shares her home with Magic, an adorable and quirky greyhound she adopted from the Colorado Greyhound Adoption.
